Weekly Green Juice Recipe
My weekly batch of juice that (doesn’t!) taste like vegetables

My weekly batch of juice that (doesn’t!) taste like vegetables
The Vitamix A2500 is easily my favorite kitchen purchase in the last several years: it blends and heats soups, makes ice cream and sorbets, juices and smoothies, and is great for blending salad dressings and making whipped cream. This particular blender self-cleans: you add a drop of dish soap in with water and blend on high for 30 seconds to a minute and all it needs is a rinse, afterward. This makes it very enticing to use, knowing that it won’t have to soak or take ten minutes of scrubbing to get oil or other difficult-to-remove substances off the sides.
Anyway! Here’s my weekly green juice recipe: this makes a huge batch that lasts several days. It’s so refreshing and takes just a few minutes to throw together.
Ingredients:
1 large bunch of flat-leaf parsley, sliced in half
1 cup roughly chopped celery
2 large blood oranges, peel removed
Juice of 1 lemon
Juice of 2 limes
1 Tbsp minced ginger
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
Supplements of choice: I like MoonJuice and Wooden Spoon Herbs
1-2 cups distilled water (start smaller + add more as you go if needed)
Directions:
Start by adding water to your blender, following with supplements and powders if you choose to add them. Next, add the vanilla extract, lemon, lime, and/or blood orange juice, then parsley, ginger, oranges and celery.
Gradually raise the speed of the blender until it reaches the highest speed and blend for about a minute.
Serve immediately or store in the fridge for 4-5 days. Enjoy!
