Hi and happy Thursday! I wanted to do a very quick roundup of my go-to shoes for summer—I recently found some amazing sandals and heels secondhand, and have lots of tried-and-true winners to recommend from years past. My reigning champion forever-favorite shoe brand is Paloma Wool: pictured from them are the butter yellow boots, the light green platforms, and the cream pointed slides on the bottom, and I also have their Moon Sandal in blue. Everything they make is so unique: their shoes are handmade with high-quality (often deadstock) leather: I’m onto year five with the cream slides on the bottom shelf and they still look great! I highly recommend investing in PW’s shoes as they last forever and they bring a lot of personality into an outfit: I’ve found them to be true to size. Shop on SSENSE, Poshmark, Vestaire, and The Real Real.
Donald Pliner Vintage Wedges, ELLE Vintage Kitten Heels, Paloma Wool Forbes Sandal, Paloma Wool Margot Boot
I cannot find anyone reselling the PW Margot Boot for the life of me, which makes sense because they’re so fucking cool, and personally, I couldn’t imagine ever parting with them. For the slingback kitten heels on the right side of the middle shelf, I searched for this and scrolled through a million options until I found what I liked heel-wise and toe-shape-wise.
The Ballet Flat Roundup covers all of my recommendations for mary janes and slippers, with the most comfortable being from Jamie Haller and Jeffrey Campbell (the red pair, pictured). I found the baby blue bow heels on Poshmark, but you can find them new on Zara.
These square-toe-block-heel mary janes (bottom left shelf) were devastatingly painful to break in for me but could be easier for you if you have a very narrow foot.
Another unpictured but honorable mention: this sandal from Camper: I wore them for 14 hours of walking a few days ago with not a single blister or negative consequence, and they come in 8 colors if the pink doesn’t do it for you.
