Starburst Smoothie
An afternoon pick-me-up

An afternoon pick-me-up
This smoothie is a little bit more about having a fun and delicious drink and a little less about having a health benefits-packed-post-workout sort of drink. This is both a great dessert and afternoon pick-me-up and is referred to as the starburst smoothie in my household, which should tell you everything you need to know. If you’d like, you can use this as a base and add whatever protein powders or supplements your heart desires. I love adding a teaspoon of Moon Juice’s Magnesi-om here to enhance the playful candy-like flavor 🍬
Ingredients:
2 heaping cups of frozen strawberries
2 cups of milk, I like macadamia
The juice of 1 lemon
1/2 teaspoon minced ginger, fresh or jarred
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Honey or stevia drops to taste
Any supplements you’d like: vanilla protein powder, magnesium, etc., optional
Directions:
Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender and pureé until it’s reached the consistency you like. Taste to see if you’d like more honey and blend until combined.
